👩🍳 Instructions
1
Optional quick brine: Stir 3/4 cup warm water with 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp lemon juice. Add chicken and brine 10 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
2
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2-3 minutes.
3
Toss chicken thighs with 1 tbsp olive oil. In a small bowl combine 1 tsp salt, 3/4 tsp pepper, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp brown sugar, and a pinch of cayenne. Rub spice mix evenly over thighs.
4
Arrange thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between pieces. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
5
Remove thighs to a cutting board and let rest 3-5 minutes before slicing across the grain. Serve warm.
